|Monoyaki's (more dangerous) theme. The song goes kind of crazy when the signature harmonica comes in. It sounds as if Keith Moon resurrected or something. Well, it's not partiuclarly like his style, but it's loud. Do you even know who that is? Haha. The title is a pun on 'cacophony' and 'coffin', just in case you thought I couldn't spell right.

|The killer's final goodbyes. I tried not to make the track sound sad, as they're guilty, so they're not so sympathetic... But, this gives you a chance to see through their eyes and find out why they did it, if you hadn't figured it out already. Alas, they become resigned to their fate.

Name About
Title A low fidelity title track, like in the original game. This doesn't actually have anywhere to show up during the story, unfortunately. I think it's a fine enough song to ease one into the story.
Let's Hang! Happy little track for social interaction. The melody sounds naive, but that probbably provides a contrast against the rest of the story. I tried some polyphony towards the end of the song, so hopefully it sounds nice. 'Hang' might have a double meaning here, though...
Tremble B Spooky! The spookiest thing about this song is the time signature of 13/4. I'm shaking in my boots! The reason it says 'B' in the title is because there was an earlier version of the song that wasn't 13/4, called 'Tremble A'. It never made it past being just percussion.
Routine Morning meeting track. This song has a jazz vibe, but unlike jazz, it's very constant and repetitive. This is less me not knowing how to compose jazz, and more an attempt to make the reader feel uneasy by having a slightly tense, unchanging song in a genre that usually changes a lot. I still don't know how to compose jazz, anyway.
Announcement Yaki School bell. The harpsichord is a nod to The Beatles' 'Piggies', as Monoyaki was originally a pig-based character. Notice the flat note to make the jingle feel foreboding.
Pitch White Album Free roam track. More repeating motifs, and a slow, somewhat depressed piano. This is probably among the most atmospheric of the songs in this soundtrack. Is it dull? Hopefully it provides a good backdrop to Jane being left alone with her thoughts.
Momomomonoyaki Monoyaki's entrance track. The opening noise doesn't quite sound right...
Goatsong Monoyaki's (less dangerous) theme. The harmonica is basically his motif instrument. This was the first track I made that I felt somewhat proud of, it seems to demonstrate Monoyaki's personality of "immature and silly, but could kill you at any time if he wanted to".
The News Foreboding track. The repeating synth is ominous... But hopefully not droning. Well, it is droning. But hopefully in a good way. This track isn't too 'in your face', so it's more for foreboding moments that aren't over the top.
Bleating Cacoffiny Monoyaki's (more dangerous) theme. The song goes kind of crazy when the signature harmonica comes in. It sounds as if Keith Moon resurrected or something. Well, it's not partiuclarly like his style, but it's loud. Do you even know who he was? Haha. The title is a pun on 'cacophony' and 'coffin', just in case you thought I couldn't spell right.
Societal Collapse in Vinyl When the cast feels really defeated, this track plays. It's just a slower version of Tremble B, really. But, it does its job. The name is borrowed from a track on one of my crappy old 'vapourwave' albums, and I put quotes around 'vapourwave' since it wasn't really that much like genuine vapourwave...
Fur Off a Chipmunk A wacky track. If it annoys or disorientates you, then it's doing its job. This track has another odd time signature, though I don't particularly remember what it is... Hmm.
Inevitability Panic track. I had a lot of fun working on this one, as it's short and sweet, and let me experiment with a new, more intense tone I hadn't done up until then. The percussion is particularly fun.
Desolate Dream Numb, cold music box for reminiscing about fallen allies. Or just whenever the music seems to fit. This is the only time violin-type instruments show up in the soundtrack, since bowed strings sound terrible when digitally recreated.
Incohesive Echo A track for feeling particularly numb. The noises are just birds and cars by a busy road in my neighbourhood. But, when slowed, it sounds like a harsh, unforgiving wind. At least, I hope it sounds like that.
TRACKER 15 Investigation song. This is the first one I wrote for the story. As such, it feels a little sloppy when I listen back to it... But it gets its job done. The chords ending off the loop sound reminiscient of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'... Well, that's on Owada's jacket, anyway.
Garden Variety Standby Track for the calmer moments of the Class Trial. I really like how it came out. It bulds up ove time, and then abruptly ends... It punches the listener in the face and calls their attention, then resumes at its original pace as if nothing ever happened. It makes for a good, tense buildup to the trial action.
Instant Debate (MAKE YOUR ARGUMENT) First 'Instant Debate' track. This could have come out better, I feel, but I managed to tweak it enough that it eventually started to sound good. Notice the sample during the loop section of the song... Can you guess where it's from?
Instant Debate (UNEARTH THE TRUTH) Second 'Instant Debate' track. A remix of the first with some elements from the third sprinkled in. It sounds odd, but not spaced out, as if the mystery is developing and revealing more of its aspects.
Instant Debate (LAY THE BLAME) Third 'Instant Debate' track. Although, it was the first of the three I wrote. It's pretty intense, but calms down a bit for you to think straight. The sample is a lot more clear in this track, so anybody who knows the source it came from can probably tell.
Deduction Track for when Jane manages to break through with somewhat of an argument. Good girl! It took a LOT of tweaking to get the opening of this track right, but the rest of it basically wrote itself.
Kapibara Track for when something major is revealed in the trial. This was originally going to be the 'weird' song (Fur Off a Chipmunk) but evolved into something else entirely. It was originally titled 'Fur Off a Tapir', then 'Capybara' and then into 'Kapibara' to not sound as silly.
Self Defence Static Track for when you're hot on the culprit's trail. The overarching piano is inspired by morse code, I just messed with it to make it sound interesting. It has a hint of desperation, since the Entrepreneur knows well that they can't save themselves, but tries anyway.
Cherry on Top Track for the classic detective's explanation. It's a remix of the title theme. I was considering calling it 'Nail in the Coffin' instead, just for the morbid factor, but I figured this title would work fine.
Last Stand Track for, well, the culprit's last stand. This seems a bit too mellow, understandably, but of course, its successors are more fitting as the situation ramps up.
Last Stand (DESPERATION MIX) The notes turn to thirds for this track. I'm not sure if this represents Jane getting more determined, or the culprit getting more panicked. I mean, they were already panicking, weren't they?
Last Stand (BREAKDOWN MIX) Track for the last stage of the last stand. At this point, the entrepreneur has completely lost it, and can't even think straight. It isn't hard to finish them off now. Do the chords sound nice?
Cash or Credit Slot machine track! This was a fun, silly thing to make quickly.
How? The killer's final goodbyes. I tried not to make the track sound sad, as they're guilty, so they're not so sympathetic... But, this gives you a chance to see through their eyes and find out why they did it, if you hadn't figured it out already. Alas, they become resigned to their fate.
Game Over Track for Monoyaki pulling the pixel sprite of the culprit away to execution. I really love the little animation of this, especially how it says 'GAME OVER' as if the killer was the main character.
Demise Body discovery track. This is meant to sound like a computer application crashing and stammering. The scream is a heavily distorted version of a noise I made. If you had listened to the original version, it might sound more like a yawn, really. Hopefully finding that out doesn't detract from the shock and horror of the track.
Oops! I almost read a spoiler!   Plot and/or ending details follow.

Name About
Prologue Ominous variant of the school bell to play over the 'prologue' screen... But it never plays.
Chapter 1 Chapter 1 screen's track. The saxophone is Sadie, and the bass is James... Well, he's a bass player, and her hair looks a bit like a saxophone I guess. That's why the sax abruptly stops while the bass lingers for a bit. They end up destroying eachother in the long run.
Chapter 2 Chapter 2 screen's track. I won't explain why it sounds like this just yet.
STARDOM STAMPEDE Track for James McKenzie's execution. I wanted it to sound Beatle-esque, but I couldn't really do that with the program I use. The drums sound a little Ringo-ish, at least. I wanted the harmonica to sound like a merge of Monoyaki's leitmotif and the harmonica off of 'Please Please Me', but it was impossible to make out enough of it to realise it was 'Please Please Me'. Ah well.
Spoilers end here.
