Danganronpa: Hope Noir is a fictional story created by LoneWandererFrom.

Hope Noir tells us about a class of sixteen students from many different countries in Europe, closed within the walls of Hope's Peak European Boarding School (HPEBS), forced to play a killing game organized and led by Monokuma, a sadistic and eccentric robot resembling a creepy teddie bear.

Although it takes a big chunk of classic Danganronpa stories (isolated location, sixteen students, Monokuma and "Hope VS Despair" type of story), it takes a few fresh looks on the concept, especially not by focusing on "Hope VS Despair" conflict between several characters, like in other creations, but more on this conflict within the protagonist's inner self, which is also story's second conflict, "Surroundings VS Self".

The story introduces previously mentioned HPEBS, one of several foreign schools created by Hope's Peak Academy as a part of Ultimate Talent Promotion Program. The program is about, as name suggests, promoting the concept of an Ultimate student in the world, counting for financial help in building different official Hope's Peak schools. This led to using old schools in the world as Hope's Peak Boarding Schools, a few for every large region on the Earth (one in Europe, two in North America, one in South America, one in Africa, three in Asia and one in Australia). To each of them there have been chosen Ultimate-level students from the region, divided into classes. Hope's Peak Academy provided every financial support possible, in case if chosen students were in poor material condition. The students weren't some random students, they were all carefully picked as as the best in their category and given an Ultimate title. Our story revolves around HPEBS Class A, specifically around two rivaling students: Arthur Pohl and Catherine Delacroix.

Development

Author, dragged into the world of Danganronpa in March 2020 by his friend, quicky fell in love with the concepts of Ultimate students and killing games. As he was already a wannabe-writer and author of several other fanfics (mostly from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Fallout), he decided to create his own story set in Hope's Peak Series of Danganronpa. Began planning a story and writing it down on this Wiki, as it was easier for him to note such things on Wikis, with possible contact with other creators. First chapters will begin to come out on Wattpad as soon, as everything will be done.

Summary

One day a successful teenage German writer - Arthur Pohl - receives a letter from a world-popular high school in Japan, Hope's Peak Academy. The letter says a boarding school will be opened in Garmish-Partenkirchen and that Arthur has been chosen to attend it, signed in as the Ultimate Crime Fiction Writer. Arthur gladly accepts this offer and as new school year begins, he lands in a bus driving him and 15 another Ultimate students from all the Europe to HPEBS. After accidentaly falling asleep in the bus, he wakes in a class. Is he already in the school? Who brought him there? Why all other students were in the same situation? Where are the teachers? And why is that creepy teddie bear telling the students to kill each other?

He (identifies himself as a male) is a way of communication between the mastermind and the students, leader of MonoCommittee and final judge in Class Trials.

MonoLingo	Alias HPEBS' Linguistics Teacher Former Ultimate Anglicist ---- Gender ♂	This half-white, half-grey bear with a bowler and a monocle is HPEBS' official linguistics teacher and an extreme gentleman, who teaches his students how to speak proper English in order to help them communicating with each other. Even if he wanted to help class 2A in running from the school, he cannot, as he and the rest of MonoCommittee are forced to obey headmaster Monokuma. He can only act as a witness during Class Trials.

MonoPET	Alias HPEBS' PE Teacher Former Ultimate Gymnast ---- Gender ♂	MonoPET isn't good at thinking, but he has a good muscle (despite being a robot as well). This makes this half-white, half-blue bear the best person to keep students in shape, as being held hostage at school definitely does not help their physical condition. An hour of exercises with MonoPET every day is mandatory for everyone. He, as well, can only act as a witness during Class Trials. His name comes from being a PE Teacher.

MonoSoul	Alias HPEBS' Arts Teacher Former Ultimate Art Therapist ---- Gender ♀	This robotic bear lady always seems like she has just smoked a big joint, but don't let this mislead you - she's very sharp-minded when situation needs it and even willing to use her tools to fight. Her job is to keep all the humanists in the class working on their talents. No difference from previous two - she can only act as a witness and is obedient to Monokuma.

MonoBrain	Alias HPEBS' Maths Teacher Former Ultimate Physicist ---- Gender ♂	Despite being (sort of) twin brother to MonoSoul, this bear has no artistic talents at all and is an absolute opposite to his sister's infinite energy. His job is to keep the students capable of doing all kinds of calculations, but he's too tired to do so, so all lessons are just getting some exercises on a sheet of paper and either making them or watching him as he sleeps. He can be used as a witness in a Class Trial, but there's no reason to count on him, as he probably over slept the murder... and the investigation... and is probably sleeping on the trial too.

Arthur Pohl	Talent Ultimate Crime Fiction Writer ---- Gender ♂	Main protagonist of Hope Noir. Arthur is a young boy from Westerstede, Germany. Thanks to being raised in house where a book was something more important than sleep (and his mother being a professional writer), Arthur began to write on his own. Starting with little stories of questionable quality, he began to grow surprisingly quick as a writer, focusing mainly on crime fiction. At the age of 16, when he began to attend HPEBS, he just began writing his fifteenth book. Arthur is rather confident about himself and his skills, although he is a very static person who prefers doing things at home rather tha outside, and sport only a few times a week for better health. That contradicts with his general liking of very loud and energetic people and gives him a dominating feeling that he's boring. He also isn't good with seeing dead bodies, and while he can do it, his mentals aren't great with it. Arthur has an imaginary friend, a personification of his own logical side and a person Arthur would like to be - an optimistic, sharp-minded and witty teenage detective, Gerard Fuchs, main protagonist of Pohl's book series, where he solves crimes in Breslau in 1920. Except for imaginary, he also has a few real friends, specifically his besties Alfred and Klaudia, and later also Gabrielle and Brenda.

Gerard Fuchs	Talent Ultimate Detective (self-proclaimed) ---- Gender ♂	Gerard is a fictional character, main protagonist of Arthur's crime fiction series "Breslaurer Kanäle", and also his imaginary friend being a visualisation of Arthur's logical side. Gerard is 16-years old detective in Breslau, Germany, in 1920, solving many bloody cases long before the police does. He's very optimistic and confident, never bores anyone and makes a lot of friends. His sharp mind is often helping Arthur use his own (as they're literally the same) during investigations and Class Trials. He lost his right eye in a fight with his first criminal, that's why he wears an eyepatch. Oops! I almost read a spoiler!   Plot and/or ending details follow. In Arthur's latest and final book, which's process of creating has been lost along with other memories of attending HPEBS, Gerard commited a crime himself and was forced to solve his own case. It turned out Gerard has lost his sanity. At some point of the story, Arthur and Gerard begin to disagree (which is surprising, as Fuchs was just a part of author's mind). This turned out to be a beginning of Arthur's identity crisis, which led to breaking out Gerard as his second personality. He self-proclaimed as the Ultimate Detective and new participant of the Killing Student Exchange, gouged out his (and Arthur's) eye to feel more like himself and went out to commit a murder. He hides again inside Arthur, as he loses inner fight with his creator. He is the embodiment of Arthur's despair.

Alfred Reville	Talent Ultimate Director ---- Gender ♂	Alfred is a very talented screenwriter, cameraman, director etc. (but mostly the latter, hence the title) from Derby, Great Britain. He is known for many romance movies including very realistic visions of people's love. His latest movie, "For the love of God!" has been awarded with thirteen prestigious awards. This has a reflection is Alfred's personality. When the killing game begins, his mind begins to block fear's path to his heart with passion. He gives himself to anything that can bring joy in his life and unwaveringly grabs every happy moment in his school life. He doesn't forget about his friends though, he tries to infect Arhur with his happiness in order to help him go through his anexiety. Alfred isn't too sharp, but when he gets to something, he makes a good point. He's nice towards everybody, or at least tolerates them, but his best friend is Arthur (with mutuality). He is also friends with Catherine and Klaudia, especially with the latter, and works with her in order to end the rivalization between Cat and Arthur (with rather poor effects). He changes the color of his sweater every day.

Catherine Delacroix	Talent Ultimate Supervillain ---- Gender ♀	Catherine is the second main protagonist of Hope Noir and the only one who's story isn't told from her perspective, but rather Klaudia's, her best friend. She is a very talented mechanic, programmer and engineer, and due to her conflict with James Rhodes (Ultimate Superhero) she has been classified by HPEBS as the Ultimate Supervillain. Cat genuinely hates this title and prefers to be reffered to as the Ultimate Robotics Engineer, but no one particularly cares. Also, due to her title and cold personality, she is often distrusted by others and even wrongly accused of a few murders. Due to her past with James, the distrust is mutual, excluding Klaudia, Alfred and in the later parts Arthur too.

Klaudia Klamczak	Talent Ultimate Architect ---- Gender ♀	Klaudia is an intensely gifted Polish sketcher and architect, a few of her buildings are already standing in some bigger cities in her homeland, as well as some other countries. For these reasons Hope's Peak Academy scouted her as the Ultimate Architect. Although she prefers using her talent to create incredible drawings and express herself as an artist. She is very open, extremely energetic and looking forward to trying new things, she claims she can see what's inside people just by looking at them. This causes her to almost immediately consider Alfred and Arthur her friends, and to trust and then befriend Catherine despite her title of an Ultimate Supervillain. This bubbly and joyful temper, as well as her aversion to using her talent, is an effect of her fear of adulthood and responsibility, she prefers to stay a child at heart for as long as possible, which sometimes contradicts Alfred's will to lay low from time to time.

Florika Andreescu	Talent Ultimate Lucky Student ---- Gender ♀	Florika isn't exceptionally talented in anything, unlike the rest of Class A, as she's been only randomly chosen to attend HPEBS among all the non-Ultimate children in Europe, which granted her a title of Ultimate Lucky Student, but interestingly enough her luck is indeed very clear to see in everyday situations. It seems like she's capable of "sucking out" others luck, for the sake of her luck and their bad luck, and she is very much aware of this ability. Florika has grew up in a rich Romanian family. She isn't used to working for her own good, since if her parents (or their money) haven't served her something convenient in life, her luck certainly did. She enjoys the feeling of being a winner and doesn't even need to bother with cheating, that's why she often took a part in many competitions. Similarly to Inge, she enjoys skiing. Actually, she doesn't bother with anything, no practicing, no trying, her entire life is based on her luck and money. She feels great by herself and doesn't need friends, she somehow always looks perfect and jobs she is supposed to do always somehow are finished without her doing a thing. She thinks of herself very highly, as she's better than the others, and her luck only proves this feeling is right. Florika's just the type of a pampered kid who's life grants her everything, only expanding that pamperedness and arrogance. Much to others annoyance.
