Kaito Tsukomi (月海海斗 Tsukomi Kaito) is a student of Hope's Peak Online Academy's 76th class, and a participant of the killing game featured in The Online Killing School Semester. Her title is the Ultimate Fanfiction Writer.
History[]
Early Life[]
Kaito was born into a poor family, both of her parents barely having any time off from their jobs. She spent most of her time in the school library, browsing the internet. Kaito discovered her talent when she entered a writing contest, winning first place with all three stories she submitted. Continuing to write (eventually beginning to specialize in fanfiction), she was found by a Hope's Peak Talent Scout at age 15, and allowed to attend the school.
Online Killing School Semester[]
Kaito was the eighth and final death of the Killing School Semester, having attempted to fight Monokuma to delay the remaining students executions. Monokuma had made a deal with her that, if she survived, she and the other students would go free while the Mastermind was executed. If Monokuma won, he would execute every single student, including the killer. She lost the duel, and was executed first.
Appearance[]
Though not shown in her reference photo, Kaito has messy blond hair, with red streaks running through it. She commonly wears one of her many ratty hoodies, along with a striped shirt, an American baseball cap, blue sweatpants and running shoes. During Chapter Three's School Dance, she wears a lavender sweater and a violet-hued skirt, ditching her baseball cap for a simple hair clip and high heels.
Personality[]
Kaito is quite kind, offering help whenever someone needs it. She puts her friends as a higher priority than herself, sometimes even taking the blame for their misdeeds. This can get her into trouble, leading some to think that she's, well, a troublemaker. She can be quite overprotective of her friends, which is shone during Ochi's attempt at framing Maro in Chapter Two.

Ultimate Fanfiction Creator[]
Even when she was around twelve years old, Kaito was a great writer. She could create a story of any genre, even romantic comedy. This was quite handy for fanfiction, seeing as she got many requests for all genres. When she did a fanfiction collaboration with Hifumi Yamada, a current student at Hope's Peak, she gained the attention of the talent scout for the school.
